Field Remap
VFX Loom 1.1.0 reference for the Geometry Beta Field Remap node.
Math
processing.geometryFieldRemap
Overview
Maps a geometry field from one range into another.
Geometry Beta field arithmetic. Remaps the input range into the output range and clamps the normalized input before output mapping when enabled.

| Out Max | Scalar | 1 | Yes | Hard -10..10 · UI range: soft · Step .01 | Animatable control; changing it over time varies the node response. |
| Clamp Output | Bool | true | Not declared | — | Local control documented by the production node behavior. |
Outputs
| Output | Type | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| field | GeometryField | The production node output described by the overview. |
Usage
In practice
- Use Field Remap to move a mask's useful range into the range expected by a deformation.
- Leave Clamp Output enabled when values outside the input window should stop at the output endpoints.
Notes / limitations
- The node clamps the normalized input before output mapping when Clamp Output is enabled.
