Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use VFX Loom and its licensing service. VFX Loom 1.0 includes export in the main Local Plugin. If you do not agree with them, please do not use VFX Loom.

VFX Loom is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Roblox Corporation.

1. What VFX Loom is

VFX Loom is a software tool for Roblox Studio. It lets you build, preview, animate and export procedural visual effects and textures. It is a creation tool; it does not provide any service beyond that.

2. Paid offer and licence access

VFX Loom 1.0 is a digital software/plugin product for Roblox Studio. The paid offer is $20 USD as a one-time purchase; it is not a subscription. A successful purchase provides an account-associated right to use VFX Loom for the Roblox account verified during the purchase, subject to these Terms. It does not transfer ownership of VFX Loom, its code, assets, trademarks or other intellectual property.

Payment is processed through Stripe. VFX Loom does not receive or store your full card number. Roblox OAuth verification alone is not payment, does not create paid access and does not complete a purchase.

You may buy one VFX Loom lifetime licence as a gift. A gift is redeemed once; the recipient chooses the Roblox account during redemption, and redemption permanently binds the gift to that account. An unclaimed gift expires on the date shown at delivery. It cannot be transferred after redemption. The recipient is responsible for selecting the correct Roblox account. A refund or chargeback can invalidate an unclaimed gift or revoke access already granted from a redeemed gift.

3. Digital supply and access

VFX Loom is supplied digitally. After payment is confirmed by the server-side Commerce and Licensing services, the verified account may receive access to the supplied VFX Loom release package for installation as a Roblox Studio Local Plugin. Access is not granted merely because a Checkout return page was opened; it is granted only after server-side payment and licensing confirmation.

The purchase flow asks you to expressly request that digital supply begin after successful payment. Where applicable law provides a withdrawal or cancellation period for digital content, that request and acknowledgement may affect that right. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

4. Access

Access is granted to specific Roblox accounts. Paid access is tied to the Roblox account that was verified during purchase; any separate authorized grant is tied to the account verified for that grant. Access is verified by the licensing service described in the Privacy Policy.

Discord linking is optional. Discord roles are convenience indicators only and are not authoritative proof of VFX Loom entitlement. Discord outages or delayed role synchronization do not change product ownership or VFX Loom access.

Access may be revoked where there is abuse of the licensing service, attempts to circumvent entitlement verification, redistribution of VFX Loom, or a violation of these terms.

5. Redistribution

You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense VFX Loom or any VFX Loom distribution package.

You may not present a modified copy of VFX Loom as an official VFX Loom release, or use the VFX Loom name or branding in a way that suggests a build is official when it is not.

6. Your content

You keep your work. VFX Loom claims no ownership over the graphs, projects, textures, effects or other original content you create with it.

You are responsible for the content and effects you create, and for making sure they comply with the Roblox Terms of Use, the Roblox Community Standards, and any other rules that apply to where you publish them.

7. Export capability

VFX Loom 1.0 is distributed as a Local Plugin. Its export capability is integrated into that installation; there is no separate Export Bridge plugin to download or connect.

8. Platform dependence

VFX Loom runs inside Roblox Studio and depends on Roblox platform services, including asset creation. Roblox platform changes, limitations, moderation decisions and outages can affect what VFX Loom is able to do, and are outside our control.

9. Product changes

VFX Loom features, behaviour, node parameters, formats and documentation may change between releases, including in ways that are not backwards compatible. We will note significant changes in the Changelog.

10. Availability

The licensing service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and no guarantee that any particular feature will continue to exist.

11. Refunds, disputes and revocation

Refund requests and the current treatment of full refunds, partial refunds and payment disputes are described in the Refund Policy. A full refund of a paid VFX Loom purchase revokes the paid grant associated with that purchase. A partial refund is recorded for review and does not automatically change access under the current system. An open dispute may suspend access associated with the disputed purchase; a dispute outcome is handled according to the Refund Policy and the applicable legal rights.

Any separate authorized grant is evaluated independently from a paid purchase. A refund or dispute transition for one purchase does not by itself revoke an unrelated grant.

12. No warranty

VFX Loom is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of your projects and places.

13. Statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or replaces any consumer, warranty, conformity, defective/non-conforming digital-content, refund, withdrawal or cancellation right that cannot legally be excluded or limited in your jurisdiction. If any wording here conflicts with a mandatory legal right, that right prevails.

14. Changes to these terms

These terms will be updated as VFX Loom changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use VFX Loom after an update means you accept the updated terms.
